HYPNOTHERAPY IN GREENWICH, LONDON
About Bluebird Coaching & Hypnotherapy
I came to coaching and hypnotherapy after many years of enduring the stressful workload of primary teaching. Now I am well-placed to assist anyone who feels that their work-life balance is askew, who is overwhelmed but under appreciated or who feels like the proverbial square peg.
Everybody has their own strategy for managing stress but sometimes even so, events can overwhelm us and it's a sign of strength to seek assistance, not of weakness. Prolonged stress can tip over into anxiety; that's happened to me. It's about making a decision to be committed to your own health and peace of mind.
I genuinely believe that everyone has untapped resources within which will enable them to fulfil their most challenging dreams and ambitions. I am here to provide clarity, motivation and personalized support.
Every individual is different. An initial telephone consultation is free of charge. Then, the structure and timetable for sessions is flexible according to your needs. I aim to boost your positivity from the very first contact.

Hypnosis FAQs
Will I be under the control of the hypnotist?
No. Have no fear. In hypnosis you remain in control and enter a collaborative process with the practitioner. You remain in control of your will and cannot be made to do anything you do not wish to do. Experiments have been conducted revealing that people in hypnosis can stop themselves from doing anything they feel uncomfortable with.
Will I cluck like a chicken?
You are in control of the process of hypnosis. It’s up to you which suggestions you choose to accept or reject. You cannot be made to act against your own interests or dignity.
Do you use a watch?
No. Props are not necessary. The hypnotist’s principle tool is language. You are not asleep during hypnosis, but in a dual conscious state.
Will I remain “locked in” under hypnosis?
No. The hypnotic process ends when you wish it to end. However, suggestions given in hypnosis can apply after the session ends and may be designed to do so. You remain in control of your free will.
Is hypnosis like “voodoo” or magic?
No. Hypnosis is scientifically proven to assist in the treatment of a wide variety of conditions. It is not magic and does not conflict with any religious dogma.
Can you hypnotise someone against their will?
No. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. The person’s own goodwill is required for hypnotherapy to work.
Does hypnotherapy work?
Results vary according to individuals but there is a large body of research supporting the effectiveness of hypnosis. It works by opening a channel of communication between the conscious and the subconscious mind, bypassing the “chatterbox” that often narrates our life.
